we're going west

after much much searching, we've finally (enormous sigh of relief) found a new house and it's in footscray near to flemmington racecourse.


haha, thankfully NOT this scary place though!

we discovered you get more for your money over in the west. while my heart will always be in brunswick, the soaring rent has gotten ridiculous.

i'll miss the proximity of gems like the cinema nova, readings, the gelo bar, rumi and the alderman. however, i'm excited to have the footscray market, some awsome opshops and the opportunity to discover new places. just as brunswick is transforming into the new fitzroy, i'm sure if i wait a few years footscray will become the new brunswick.

with the deadline for the quilt project looming, it was time for me to get moving on my square.


i settled on a design.


dusted off my copy of 'Reader's digest complete guide to needlecraft'


and got stitching.
